This concentrated solution contains amino acids and amino acid derivatives, resulting in a combined total concentration of 17.20% (by weight). Amino acids make up the highest percentage of the composition of the skin's natural moisturizing factor, a collection of water-loving compounds responsible for maintaining the skin's water content and osmotic balance. This formula is intended to support the skin barrier, improve skin hydration, and visibly increase elasticity by replenishing the skin's amino acid reservoir. The formula also contains a concentration of 5% D-panthenol (by weight), a provitamin of vitamin B5, which provides hydration on and below the surface and supports the skin's barrier function.
