Idylle is part of Guerlain's Les Légendaires fragrance collection. A collection of emblematic fragrances, composed for over a century by 5 generations of perfumers. These mythical pioneer perfumes form a unique perfume library that the House of Guerlain strives to preserve.
To create Idylle, Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser carefully selected the finest Bulgarian roses, hand-picked at sunrise in the Bulgarian valleys. They have been brought together in a blend to express a unique, fruity scent with top notes of raspberry and lychee.
The iconic "inverted heart" bottle, designed by Georges Chevalier, is accented with graceful curls typical of Art Nouveau. The avant-garde cap, in the shape of a hollowed-out heart, evokes the delicate romance of this masterpiece of perfumery and was a true technical marvel at the time.

Idylle opens with a shower of flowers, a fresh and cheerful bouquet consisting of lily-of-the-valley, peony, freesia, and white lilac. The heart reveals jasmine blended with a mix of Bulgarian roses. The base adds a sensual chypre accord, consisting of patchouli and white musk.
