As the first amber fragrance for men, Habit Rouge was inspired by the art of equestrianism. A hobby dear to its creator, Jean-Paul Guerlain. First released in 1965, Habit Rouge's woody, spicy scent enveloped in rounded vanilla became an olfactory symbol of French elegance. Inspired by the intensity of Bourbon, Habit Rouge Le Parfum begins with the rich notes of a rum accord, perfectly followed by Guerlain's exclusive vanilla tincture, created using a special patented process. Alongside patchouli, this vanilla tincture gives the Habit Rouge signature its unprecedented depth.
